sarcoidosis and ASPS

Post by MartinW »

Hello members,
After the march-april2008 diagnosis of my primary with clean ct and mri of the rest of the body it was red alert at my 4 month schedule last october.

Chest xray and ct showed very large lung lymph nodes.
They did a lung biopsie and it turned out to be sarcoidosis.
Small nodules of sarcoidosis are characteristic. There is 1 small nodule2-3mm, we are not sure if it.s asps or sarcoidosis. They think sarcoidosis.

wait and see.

I posted this info to let you know that sometimes it'.s hard to know what is what.

all the best

Hi Martin, I have never seen a case of coexisting sarcoidosis and ASPS, but on the other hand enlarged lung lymph nodes that are found to be ASPS are very uncommon in ASPS - Dr.Rolle always checks Ivan's lung lymph nodes during the lung surgery (and he had done 4) and they never found any ASPS in it even though he had multiple lung mets resected in the close vicinity to these lymph nodes.
