proton radiation therapy

Post by Olga »

In some cases when mets are not resectable and also can not be treated by the local ablation, you might want to consult re. proton radiation therapy. There are reports of it being more succesfull with sarcomas than the reg. photon therapy.
From the personal communication with another sarcoma patient (not ASPS) I found this contact info:

Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston (Francis H Burr Proton Therapy Center). The head is Dr Thomas F Delany at 1-617-726-6876.
They treated her undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma met in the heart 5 month ago and the tumor appears to be shrinking.
